Who Discovered DNA?

DNA and can be viewed as a series of codes, the information that was taken over by the parent contains. It contains protein codes, or how dark a person is tall or almost as long as the person will decide live.

DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. Its discovery has been credited to the research by James Watson and Francis Crick. Rosalind Franklin is another important name that appears.

DNA studies were done in the early 1950s by Nobel laureate Linus Pauling. He suggested that a sample of DNA model, when stationed at the California Institute of Technology. During the same period in England, James Watson and Francis Crick were research on the structure of hemoglobin and not DNA. Meanwhile, Maurice Williams DNA molecule studied at King’s College in London. He wanted an x-ray expert and Rosalind Franklin easily filled the role. After two years, a complete model of the DNA was publicly presented by Watson and Crick.

DNA goes to 50/50 by the parents. The DNA transferred from parents are of two types, genotype and phenotype. If these two are considered to guess it may be what the offspring will look like. It can be confusing, to go with. It is recalled that the genes to combine not literally. Genes are transmitted from generation to generation, depending on the strongest side. This is the reason some traits show in a generation and disappear in the next. Traits are not required for a person to survive suppressed. You are not disappear entirely.

Besides the fact that the imprint of the parents, it gives us an idea of doctors and possible diseases. There are many ways in which DNA is used. Scientists use them for examination of animals, plants and human genetics with the aim of improving their living conditions. Cloning is an issue that comes readily to mind, but there are positive aspects. For example, stem cell therapy to cure cancer.

Everyone has a unique DNA, and this helps in solving many criminal cases. DNA identification is a science in itself. J Craig Venter successfully decoded the sequence of DNA. He had previously worked with the U.S. government and helped 20000-25000 genes make DNA identified. Within three years he has successfully identified 24 000 genes in humans.

To control the issues of race Venter fully proved that everyone has the same genetic material. Variations such as build, skin color and other genetically meaningless. It shows that the mother of all people are equal.
