Alabama, Florida, Iowa, West Virginia and South Carolina all you need every ounce of effort to win games and hope to maintain their national rankings this week. Here is my Top 25 for college football Week 8:
1) Alabama (8-0) – The Crimson Tide needed a field goal attempt blocked on the final play of the game to preserve a 12-10 victory over Tennessee. The teams seem to forget that is the Volunteers’ defensive coordinator, Monte Kiffin is one of the greatest defensive coordinators in the history of modern football and the father of Lane Kiffin, coach of the Volunteers of the head. Yes, victory in Florida was too weak, the Crimson Tide to stay on top for at least another week.
2) Florida (7-0) – Extension of the nation’s longest winning steak to 17 with an unimpressive 29-19 victory over Mississippi State. The Gators’ offense, it appears that the implosion, which raises questions about who can endure. Although Florida is unbeatable, I bet that Georgia is not excited about the Gators travel to a week.
3) Oregon (6-1) – picked up a bone-jarring beat 43-19 a game, but young team of Washington Husky. The next step for the ducks are coming from Southern California in Los Angeles. This should be a great game, I would not be surprised if Oregon wins.
4) Cincinnati (7-0) – 41-10 Louisville stomped and not very interested in the delay. The schedule is weak, but third coach Brian Kelly had 10 wins his first year and 11 wins last year. This dude is serious about winning.
5) Southern California (5-1) – Beat Oregon State 42-36, but gave up 36 points to a Beaver team 4-3. Pivotal week for USC as Oregon on the road. O Southern California beat Oregon or the fall of Trojans in my survey. USC Oregon Either knock down a notch or falling ducks in my survey.
6) Texas (7-0) – Uses of Missouri to kill the road, 41-7, but now is more difficult in dams in the State of Oklahoma. Texas was much better last year and should have been in the finals against Florida in the national championship instead of Oklahoma. Maybe it will be Florida and Texas this year and then again, maybe it will not.
7) Texas Christian (7-0) – Slapped around BYU 38-7 and had fun doing. Who is going to catch a frog with horns?
Iowa (8-0) – last play of the game needed to get past Michigan State 15-13. Hawkeyes have a little defense and attack, seven of his eight wins have come by 11 or fewer points. The Spartans have lost four games by a total of 15 points, and are not so good, that makes you think when it’s over the magic of Iowa show.
9) Boise State (7-0) – Beat Hawaii silly, 54-9, trying to impress voters. Not surprisingly, Hawaii is 2-5 and throwing pine cones instead of footballs.
10) LSU (6-1) – Ran past Auburn 31-10 pending top-level teams to lose again or lose for the first time this year, Tigers stalk their prey.
11) Georgia Tech (7-1) – Tore to Virginia 34-9 and now goes to Vanderbilt. The Commodores are in trouble again.
12) Penn State (7-1) – Can not bear Pa Penn State and Jo, but you can observe a 35-10 victory over Michigan on the road. Northwest will have to beat by three touchdowns to keep me impressed.
13) Oklahoma State (6-1) – flush Baylor 34-7. I think Baylor is a change of a football team somewhere in Texas. Armies of Texas this week; Longhorns should provide more competition.
14) Houston (6-1) – Back, scoring again, took Southern Methodist 38-15 after leading 31-3 entering the fourth quarter. Houston has no offense and defense. I do not know who is better, Houston or the State of Ohio. Nod goes to Houston with a minor loss.
15) Ohio State (6-2) – Minnesota Buckeyes 38-7 burst, now ranking 148th reception of the state of New Mexico. Where to beat the Aggies on 56-zip, New Mexico State is beyond terrible to see the Aggies is like electric shocks until he falls.
16) Pittsburgh (7-1) – Panthers managed to South Florida from 1941 to 1914. I am raising because the Panthers Pittsburgh with 7 wins and everyone else is too lame to take seriously.
17) Utah (6-1) – Not playing with class in the Air Force from 1923 to 1916, but many teams have looked crappy at certain times of the season.
18) West Virginia (6-1) – did not look well to get to Connecticut from 1928 to 1924, but so first.
19) South Carolina (6-2) – Horrible win 2-6 to a team of Vanderbilt at home. He travels to Tennessee this week and could return with a headache and a record of 6-3. I will be very impressed if they beat Tennessee.
(20) Mississippi (5-2) – Beat a stubborn Arkansas team 30-17 at home. It may be finally ready to move up and forward. Auburn Gets next on the road. 31-10 Auburn LSU closed throttle, let’s see what you can do Ole Miss.
21) Central Michigan (7-1) – Just keep winning, best when other teams lose. Wins count for something.
22) Notre Dame (5-2) – Beat Boston College 20-16 in a game very Catholic. Washington State hosts a 1-6 cupcake this week, the Cougars are one of the worst teams in the Western Hemisphere and not get much better week. The last words I have found is a quarterback, when there are 10 players could be ready to do something.
23) Idaho (6-2) – Yes, the Vandals was hit on the road in Nevada from 1970 to 1945, but what other major university team has six victories, in addition to those I listed? This is a test of character for the Vandals, whether they win against Louisiana Tech this week or we take them out into the street with a lot of other three-loss teams.
24) Navy (6-2) – Hey, another six-win team, a great Wake Forest 13-10 on the way to the dining room.
25) Brigham Young (6-2) – OK, Brigham Young, but it hurts after the Pumas were ruined by the TCU 38-7 and exposed for what they are not ready for prime time. To save face, BYU Utah has to lose in their final regular season game against the Pumas of bowling.
Get passionate about college football, there is no provision in the city.
