Three in magnitude earthquake that hit the central java of Indonesia on May 27, 2006 destroyed what was left of the tsunami

These countries can benefit from the culture of money, livestock and poultry production due to their weather and the availability of natural water, which may not require advanced technology to irrigate farmland. mechanized agriculture may want to be introduced and implemented to help maximize the production of agricultural products. Part of the Jap South Korea has a comparative advantage in the industrial, commercial and manufacturing. Production and trading on the construction, automotive materials, motorcycles and other small form of purchases and sales to grow stronger in the case of marketing and economics. This may help in stabilizing the East and the countries of South Asia.

A stable economy will help to resolve and manage conflicts in those countries that have completely different ethnic and historical diversity. The economic structure and the market could also help the stability of management, the political and social system. Environmental problems may need to be treated to guard against pollution or any unhealthy by products or waste that causes damage to persons or short or long term health problems or can be fatal to people. If these countries are stable, they will attract foreign investment rather than having to foreign aid. The military unrest in East Timor are not used for economic development and the market structure of the young independent nation.

four factors used to verify the economic growth are labor, capital, land and entrepreneurship. Developing countries have a lot of labor for low wages that developed countries and yet their economic growth remains below that of developed countries. Capital is another disadvantage of developing countries. They need resources such as equipment, machinery, factories, and money to work with. Working capital is not synonymous with firearms without bullets. The capital may also represent an investment that will bear fruit in the future. Most developing countries have untapped resources such as oil, gold, diamonds, minerals, forests and water which represent the earth by themselves can not stimulate economic growth if they are explored and translated into products and services. The technology improves economic growth. A group of agricultural researchers from Texas A & M University and University of California-Davis acquired a large four-year $ 4.4 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development Mission to Afghanistan eGrazing. This discovery will assist farmers to successfully tend to cattle, sheep, horses and goats. If this technique had been established, it could have made an impression during the tsunami in Indonesia. The political and social factors that hinder economic growth were corruption, instability, lack of leadership and administrative skills, population growth and lack of business.

Africa

African countries are terribly poor and would dare to economic development and market structure. Prior to these countries run the world, they go to the desires sufficient life by taking advantage of their comparative sources of raw materials. Some have money crops that require irrigation, some livestock and poultry to be upgraded technology and market structure must be redesigned, developed and implemented. The improvement of agriculture can help poor farmers to send their young school, building infrastructure, develop the quality of institutions and create an elegant stroke of transport.

Middle East

Middle East is an area of turbulence due to the instability associated with religion, oil, dictatorship, and the influence of developed countries. The Iraq war has devastated the region, and couple with Israel, Palestinians and the Lebanese conflict, which has created all the economic disadvantages of that amount in billions of dollars. The destruction of infrastructure, and also the loss of human lives have put the Lebanese economy back decades.

Latin America

development in Latin America may come from agriculture, forestry and fisheries, mining and manufacturing. These Latinos favor the establishment of their country rather than trying to immigrate to the United States of America. If guided, they can improve the economy of their countries and to facilitate the sale of agricultural products, manufacturing and various natural resources. Immigrants pay a lot of time in the State of California, farms and factories in Illinois, North Carolina, and areas in the northeastern United States of America operating largely in food industries. These efforts will be directed to Latin America to develop the entire region.

political struggles, lack of administrative skills, and the supremacy of power have stifled the economy and the market structure of most Latin American countries. For many years Latinos have traveled north of the border to the United States of America in search of higher lives. This economic scenario has led to the death and maiming of people trying to enter the United States of America. The smugglers who are designated as coyotes have made huge profits for attempted transportation of illegal border Latinos. It is terribly dangerous business as a result of the new temperature, rail, felt unsafe, unhealthy weather, lack of food, water and other unknown dangers on the road to the border.

Immigrants spend months traveling to the border and most of the time does not permit the United States after they are caught and sent back south of the border. Most teams have resorted to kidnapping gang of rich Latin Americans living in the aspect of U.S. border for huge ransoms, thousands of dollars from the application in exchange for hostages and most of the time these victims were killed. Families are separated because of the fractured economy where people live their family for years to find money for food in the north of the border. The income is not redistributed to the population, the rich richer while the poor are poor. The people of Latin America deserve more from their leaders and their natural resources, which did not occur as a result of corruption, and drug barons who operate through intimidation, coercion, and fear .

Samburu

Place

They live north of the equator in Samburu District, an area approximately 8000 square miles (21,000 km). The landscape is one of the great diversity and beauty. It includes landscapes ranging from forest heights, open spaces of the desert or near desert. The main area is the Highland Leroghi plateau (known as Samburu Ldonyo, the Mountain), about 5500-8000 feet above sea level. The lowlands (Lpurkel) are hot and dry, with acacia scrub the primary vegetation.
Prior to
and a few years after independence, the area north of the equator, the northern boundary District (NFD). Samburu district was once a large part of the NFD. Only government officials could enter and that was closed to foreigners of both European and African descent. A special permit issued by the government was obliged to introduce the NFD. Even today Samburu is relatively isolated, while mountain areas can quite easily accessible by public transport. Many areas of the lowlands remain without proper roads or public services.

 Culture

 Samburu warriors near Lake Turkana.
Name

The Samburu are a part of the Maa speaking people like the Maasai. Approximately 95% of the words of both languages are identical. The name “Samburu is also Maasai origin and is derived from the word ‘Samburr’ which is a leather bag by the Samburu for a variety of things to wear. It is unclear when Samburu, a separate ethnic identity. As is customary in many places around the world, ethnic identity was determined and defined at the point of colonial contact. 19th-century European travelers often called Samburu “Burkineji” (people of the white goat), and there are many links to other neighboring ethnic groups. Some Samburu tribes from remnants of the Laikipiak Maasai, a Maasai section which was destroyed in the late 19th century. Others are of Rendille, Turkana and Borana ethnicity.

 Economy
Traditional
the Samburu pastoralist economy was pure, striving to survive the products of their herds of cows, goats and some camels. However, the combination of a substantial population growth over the past 60 years and a decline in their stock holdings for other complementary forms of forced their livelihood. Some have tried to grow crops, while many young men have migrated for at least a short period to the cities to conduct job search. Many work in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, as guards, while it is popular to go to resorts in Kenya, where some work, others sell spears and beaded ornaments.

 House

Samburu polygynous marriage practices, and a man can have many wives. A settlement is known as a Samburu nkang (MAA) or manyatta (Kiswahili). It may consist of only one family consisting of a man and woman / wife. Every woman has her own house, which she builds with the help of other women from local materials such as sticks, mud and cow dung. Large settlements ritual known as lorora may consist of 20 or more families. However, settlements tend to homes two or three families, with perhaps 5-6 houses built in a rough circle with an open space in the center. The circle of huts surrounded by thorn bush fence and the center of the village, the animal pens away from predators.
Clothing

Men wear a cloth, often red or blue and is wrapped around their waists. They adorn themselves with necklaces, bracelets and anklets, such as the Maasai. Members of the murran age grade (ie “warriors”) usually carry their long braids in which she shaved off when elders. It can be colored with red ocher. Their bodies are sometimes decorated with ocher, as well. Women wear two pieces of blue or purple cloth, a piece wrapped around the waist, the second wound on the chest. Women keep their hair shaven and wearing many necklaces and bracelets. In the past decade have changed the traditional dress. Some men may wear the years 1980-’90 style red tartan cloth or they can be a dark green / blue checked cloth around their waists are called “kikoi”, often with a pair of shorts underneath. Lmurran (“Warriors”) wearing a cloth that can be floral or pastel. Some women still wear two pieces of blue or red cloth, but it has become fashionable to paintings with animal or floral designs in deep colors to wear. Women can also wear tank tops with their often small clothes, and plaid skirts are common practice.

When Europeans introduced Western-style clothing was initially shunned by Samburu. As recently in 1990, pants were considered by most a rather unmanly abandonment of cultural traditions that can only be done when traveling outside the house areas or some official business (eg government offices) made of applies. However, as Western-style education has increased, and the interaction with non-Samburu has become increasingly common, no longer carries the same stigma, while clothing deemed “traditional” by Samburu still the norm, and was expected to be worn in many everyday and ceremonial contexts.
Religion

Samburu religion traditionally focuses on their diverse divinity (Nkai). Nkai (a feminine noun), plays an active role in the lives of today’s Samburu. It is not uncommon for children and young people, especially women, visions of Nkai report. Some of these children prophesy for a certain period of time and a few have a reputation for prophecy all their lives. In addition to these spontaneous prophets, soothsayers are Samburu ritual called loibonok “that divine the causes of individual diseases and misfortunes, and accompany warriors.

In recent decades, missionaries have been successful in converting more Samburu predominantly Catholic, Protestant, but also forms of Christianity. Yet the majority of Samburu still the most traditional ritual practices to observe.

 Food and Society
Traditional
Samburu relied almost entirely on their herds, although trade with their neighbors and the use of wild foods were also important. Before the colonial period, cow, goat and sheep milk was the daily staple. Oral and written evidence suggests that small stocks were important to the diet and the economy at least the eighteenth century forward. In the twenty-first century, cattle and small stock remain essential to the Samburu economy and social system. Although ritual life focuses on livestock, other animals such as goats, sheep, camels, donkeys and even figure in Samburu ceremonies. Milk is still a valued part of the Samburu diet today, when available, and can be drunk either fresh or fermented, “mature” milk is often considered superior. Meat of cattle is mainly eaten on ceremonial occasions or when a cow happens to die. Meat is often eaten in small stocks, but still not on a regular basis. Today Samburu increasingly dependent on purchased agricultural products sith cash acquired mainly from animal salesnd most corn flour is made into a porridge. Tea is also very normal, taken with large quantities of sugar and (if possible) a lot of milk, and is actually a staple of contemporary Samburu diet. Blood from both live animals and collection of those slaughtered. There are at least 13 ways that blood can be prepared, and a whole meal. Some Samburu these days have turned to agriculture, with varying results.

PR Tips for Writers

So you’ve written the book I have dreamed of writing for years and now want to be published. What now?

For 20 years I have represented numerous authors through my company. I also worked in an editorial shortly after graduating from college. I have seen many editorial strategies, some more successful than others.

The Web offers opportunities not only to publicize and sell your book, but also to develop their work interactively with their readers.

Give yourself the best chance for success using traditional and online tools for public relations to promote interest in your book.

Traditional PR opportunities include things such as radio and television interviews and reviews of print books. Online tools include email, blogs, social networks and free media, such as consulting services and HelpAReporter.com PitchRate.com that connects journalists seeking experts in their field.

Internet provides all kinds of ways to get your book published is not even dreamed a few years ago. You should know that there are pros and cons of self-publishing online or through print on demand against the traditional route of going through a publisher.

Many people choose to self-publish because it is cheaper and allows them to maintain a high percentage of the profits. Some authors create their own companies and then have their books printed on demand through a company like Bookmasters.com (www.bookmasters.com).

Bookmasters and iUniverse (www.iuniverse.com) are a couple of companies that can help you self-publish. Note that some desktop publishing companies, as major publishers take a large share of the profits, so carefully review any contract you sign with your attorney.

If you want to be a post, you can go the traditional route of the extinction of the consultations to publishers and maintain self-publishing as an alternative in case you do not land a deal. I always advise aspiring authors to get a book called Writer’s Market (www.fwbookstore.com/product/1994). It allows you to see what books are planned for publication in the coming year and what kind of books are the publishing houses to publish hot.

A third option is becoming more and more popular is the publication of his first book in a digital format. That is what our company did with our “Wasabi Publicity PR Campaign Cookbook” on our website. The book includes professional graphics and can be purchased online. Although not one of our primary products, which is an advantage that we can share with affiliates and partners.

Books can be a great marketing tool, a way of using what you are to a wider audience. Combine the general programs, book signings, radio interviews and Web seminars and has a global advertising program that both promotes and extracts from his published work.

Many of my firm serves clients are experts in various fields who get national publicity, some before a book is published. A customer uses a series of television appearances throughout the country to build a platform for a book and then got caught by an agent.

Several of my clients are self-published authors. Dr. Jill Murray, a California psychotherapist who specializes in domestic violence, published his book on iUniverse and has had great success getting publicity. We were able to reach it on Dr. Phil, and she has also been on Oprah and 20/20.

Another client, Dr. Amy Tieman, created his own publishing company called Spark to publish their work. She was later picked up by a larger publishing house. The PR and media platform that helped develop helped attract the largest publisher willing to spend money to print your book on a larger scale.

However you choose to publish, consider the enormous potential of the Web allows you to make your book a truly interactive experience for readers. Compile lists of email from people interested in their work and share useful information, surveys and newsletters to them. Use the interactive blogs to give input.

Use the free online services to connect with journalists interested in their area of expertise. Use social media like Twitter and LinkedIn to generate interest and get ideas for their work.

Some authors, including those already made by large publishing houses, have led to the publication of a chapter to the timeline or even allow readers to express their views on earlier drafts.

The interaction through blogs, social media and traditional media like radio call-in helps you get the widest possible audience. Take every opportunity to build relationships with individuals who form a community of followers of his book. All these tools will help you produce better work more meaningful and relevant.

Tips to consider:

* Use every opportunity to the media people directly on your website. A great way to attract visitors is to provide checklists, questionnaires or extracts of books to draw your interest and keep them engaged.

* Find out who is clicking in. The most effective Web sites now ask visitors to share their email addresses to receive newsletters and information. Compile lists of site visitors and potential customers interested. You can do many things to develop their confidence and loyalty. It might be asking them to participate in research or surveys, special reports and comments about their products and services, or offering free excerpts of his book advance.

* Offer free Web seminars. You can learn without Craig’s List or through social networking sites such as meetup.com to help build a community around common interests. And, of course, you will want to notify everyone in your mailing list.

* Meet the needs of the local media. Do not just send press releases. Cultivating relationships with editors, reporters and producers. They may be happy to print a column of experts if the only “payment” that have to do is talk to your website or email.

* Use weekly magazines and alternative health. These often will welcome free content and give valuable exposure. You can find free media www.usnpl.com in your area.

* Have an online press kit complete catchy and do the job of the media easier.

* Use social networking sites and blogs to reach your audience. In today’s rapidly changing media environment, they can help give you an advantage.

Should Supplements Be Regulated?

Under the Adverse Event Reporting (AER) bill before Congress, dietary supplements may be removed at the end it was over-the-counter. On this day of casual and frivolous lawsuits, Congress is ready to approve legislation that allows private citizens to sue manufacturers to integrate and, possibly, the squares, and for related health problems allegedly caused or exacerbated by food supplements . Industry report “adverse events” so much would also be a formal part of this package, much more complex and detailed than the present requirements. The industry and the dealer could be held liable in court for the use or misuse of these supplements. This quote is similar to the butcher because I choked on a piece of steak, or maybe mention my barber because they are not on the cover of GQ magazine. Ridiculous!

Given the circumstances of the proposed legislation might be fair to say that those responsible in bringing the issue out into the public spotlight and legislature are wrong, uninformed and ignorant. They can not see the big picture, and the overall picture is that the nutritional supplement industry may be decimated with the passage of this bill. Together with Congress ‘arrogant’ bull in a china shop “attitude to” protect “the private sector, are on track to eliminate our freedom of choice in health issues. Another real danger is that legislators are able to accept the bill because some institutions currently proposed AER (Senator Dick Durbin) have threatened to reintroduce the question of the defeat and contain more harmful restrictions affecting the sector. This is our protection. It ‘really about getting votes from the public not informed by politicizing a nonexistent danger.

AER bill before Congress is not a new problem. A similar bill was defeated before the Assembly in California in August 2004. Many of the above reasons logically came under discussion at that time. Wisely, the bill was seen for what it really is and was soundly turned. The reasoning governing recently in Washington State-by-State food supplements is virtually nonexistent, and when possible, as in California in 2004, “small-time” legislators in these states the opportunity to mess completely appropriate “to protect “The average consumer clueless by this” real danger “.

Despite the resistance from Robert Brackett, director of the Center for Food Safety and Nutrition (CFSAN) at the Food and Drug Administration, Washington pressed on. Mr. Brackett said in so many words, that there is already existing and sufficient regulatory authority already exists for the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). He also said through testify before Congress that the current administration has no intention of changing the current policy. He believes in the rights of private citizens to make their own informed health choices when it comes to supplements.

The general manager for NSF International, Kathleen Jordan, testified at the hearing itself to address the legislators of the Congress that development of the Dietary Supplement Certification Program says a lot for the information and allowing adequate protection of consumers from the sale unregulated supplements. The non-profit and non-governmental organizations is the road to healthy ideas and just like the recently developed NSF / ANSI Standard 173, which ensures adequate nutrient count and identification of contents. On one point everyone seems to agree. That is, stricter control of anabolic steroids that were once contained in products marketed as “sports supplements”. The abuse of the word “supplement” in this case is one reason that people are confused about the difference between dangerous substances like steroids and supplements harmless nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and herbs.

Most people who take vitamins and supplements are on their self-imposed program that is usually based on the recommended daily allowance (RDA). I take vitamins and supplements I take every day and the amounts are based on RDA and the recommendations of my doctor. In other words, I integrated into my system as long as I stay regularly in time for this. If I had to believe that the RDA of vitamins, minerals and herbs that affect my health in any way, I stopped taking them immediately. Many people who hear about this bill before Congress are going to believe that real danger does not exist just because it is concerned. Others, inevitably failing health experience in one way or another, will also remember that a food supplement debate raged for years.

If the outcome of the legislation is to allow frivolous lawsuits resulting therefrom, which is communicated, even if the supplements have absolutely nothing to do with their ills. The end result is sadly predictable. Each disorder known to man will be guilty of these supplements are safe, the industry will have to regulate in order to protect their bottom line, and will not be able to get food supplements without a prescription from your MD. When you then drive to your local drug store and are forced to pay hundreds of dollars for mere food supplements, remember that there was the possibility to express your opinion by writing, calling or email your senator or deputy.

Senator Dick Durbin fax to 202-228-0400, Fax to Senators Tom Harkin and Senator Orrin Hatch 202-224-9369 202-224-6331Fax at Michael Enzi, chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions 202 -228-0359. Tell them that you demand the freedom to make their own decisions related to health and nutritional supplements. The truth is this: The bill you ARE wrong! And ‘wrong for the private citizen and it is wrong for the supplement industry. And ‘wrong for America!

John Wooden: A Great Man Remembered

This weekend’s sporting community and especially college basketball, was saddened by the death of someone who really deserved iconic status in our culture: John Wooden.

Only a few months shy of his 100th birthday, when he was an exemplary figure, both on and off the field. Few coaches in the history of American sports garnered the level of respect, admiration and trust on the part of athletes as Wooden did. And he was not a notorious screamer, no fire and brimstone type. Of his many quotable sayings, my two favorites are, “Flexibility is the key to stability,” and “too fast, but do not hurry.”

I was fortunate enough to meet him in 1992 at a business conference in California, where he was signing his book. Several others, including myself, with him, gave lectures about the connection between sport and society, teamwork and business success, etc. Later, when the crowd thinned, I had the opportunity to briefly talk with him. He projected an aura of complete, unconditional acceptance … if he were with me and accept me exactly where I was, just as he did with the hundreds of young men he had coached during his illustrious career.

One of my favorite things is to ask everyone and anyone what their favorite three things. If you’re a musician, I want you to know three favorite bands, all-time, today. Yesterday, you would have thought otherwise, and tomorrow you may probably think differently. I want to know today. So you know what I asked … the 3 greatest basketball players of all time were.

He looked at me a moment and said: “The three greatest?” I said, ‘Yeah, you know, the three best of all time. “A look of discernment came over his face, and he said:” Would you three biggest or the best three? “Immediately I felt awkward, because for me, the three biggest, the best 3 – what’s the difference? But not him. Finally, I looked at him and answered honestly:” Is there a difference ?

He studied me a long time, and a small smile on his face. “Oh yes, there is a big difference. You see, the biggest would be individuals with great talent and individuality power. Is that what you want to know? Or do you want the best, which means that she made everyone around them better, and helped anyone can play as a team? “

It was immediately clear to me that while he respected and admired especially the “greatest”, he was all about who the “best”. So I said, ‘Yes, who were the three best players of all time? ” (Remember this is 1992.) Have you picked 3? He had, without hesitation, with a brightness of telling someone your name. Just before he began to speak, I asked him if he would change the order of the ranking. “Certainly: Magic Johnson, Larry Byrd, Oscar Robertson.”

Little moments, little moments, little moments, with important people, people you much respect as key moments in your life. I met John Wooden was a defining moment in my life, and not for what he said about basketball. It is what he taught me about life, that one should have discernment, should not throw words around without having a clear understanding of their meaning and intent, and that small differences can actually be very large differences, such as the difference between “largest” and “best.” John Wooden was “the greatest” because he “best.”
